We're hiring a field sales consultant

Job description

If you are looking for the next challenge within your sales career, we have a dynamic role where you can make a real difference. The role will allow you to meet B2B clients at all levels and from all market sectors. No two days will be the same and as a self starter you will have the freedom to grow and retain business within the areas of risk and health and safety compliance. The role will focus on new business generation 40% of target and the retention of existing accounts will be 60%. Customers will be located from Scotland to Birmingham, however the successful individual will be expected to plan visits sensibly within geographical regions. The only barrier to your success will be your imagination and determination.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Development of new customers by effective lead development
• Cross sell to existing and dormant customers
• Management of existing accounts
• Developing hot leads (using market intelligence gathered by phone, web leads, tenders and face to face meetings)
• Estimation of jobs and support of tenders
• Active prospecting
• Working with an in house marketing team to deliver planned marketing campaigns
• Attending exhibitions and seminars / networking events
• Raising AEC’s profile by daily planned visits

 Competencies/Person Specification:

• A self-starter, the ability to organise own workload, plan ahead and achieve goals
• Business development and prospecting for new customers
• Work experience within a previous sales role is a must. Will consider an individual with office sales based experience looking for their next move
• High level of customer service and building relationships
• Bid writing and tender document preparation
• Proven track record of achieving targets
• Proven, demonstrable experience of selling B2B in the services sector over a couple of years is essential to enable you to meet the demands of this role.

Full technical training will be given in this area both within the classroom and on site.
